Another Week of Progress Behind Us! 🚧🚋
What has been happening on the construction site over the past week?
Last Saturday, we opened the eastern carriageway of Młyńska Street, where the roadway is now fully completed, including the final wearing course. We also carried out asphalt paving works on Lublańska Street and at Polsadu Roundabout. The western carriageway of Lublańska Street has already received its final wearing course as well.
We are continuing intensive work on the construction of sidewalks. Paving works are currently underway on Młyńska Street (eastern side), Meissnera Street at the intersections with Chałupnika Street and Pszona Street, as well as on Lublańska Street, Dobrego Pasterza Street, Jancarza Street, near Barei Roundabout, and around the tunnel exits in the vicinity of Polsadu Roundabout.
At the same time, we are carrying out extensive landscaping works. Topsoil is currently being spread along Meissnera, Lublańska, Młyńska, Dobrego Pasterza, and Bohomolca streets. We have also completed the installation of sedum vegetation between the tram tracks on Dobrego Pasterza, Meissnera, and Bohomolca streets.
Work on the tram overhead line system is progressing, including along the tunnel section. Inside the tunnel, finishing works are also continuing—we are installing wall cladding, laying granite flooring, and assembling canopies at the tunnel exits.
We are also carrying out a range of works that may not be visible at first glance but are essential to the future operation of the tram line and the daily lives of local residents. In recent days, we completed the reconnection of sanitary utility infrastructure on Meissnera Street, at the corner of Śliczna Street, and at Młyńskie Roundabout.
At the Mistrzejowice tram terminus, the welfare building for tram and bus drivers is now in place. This is one of the essential infrastructure facilities being delivered as part of the project.
And tomorrow, we will open the western carriageway of Lublańska Street to traffic. As a result, drivers will be able to use one lane in each direction on both carriageways.
