What Happened This Week?
At the intersection of John Paul II Avenue, Mogilska Street and Meissnera Street, we completed the installation of the overhead tram traction system. We also commissioned the switch control and switch heating systems. A major milestone has been reached – the first technical tram test run has successfully taken place!
As part of the roadworks, we laid the wearing course on Mogilska Street and on the approach road to the intersection from Meissnera Street. At Młyńskie Roundabout, we completed the binder course and finalized construction of the roundabout’s inner ring. Final works on the binder course are also underway at Polsadu Roundabout, while today we are completing the remaining section of the binder course on Jancarza Street.
Across the entire project area, we continue paving works and the installation of passenger shelters. Inside the tunnel, finishing works are progressing, including the installation of wall cladding and floor finishes. At the same time, we are commissioning technical systems such as SCADA (which enables monitoring and remote management of technical equipment and installations, including the ventilation system), ventilation installations, and the public address system. Installation of the tram traction system inside the tunnel is also ongoing.
Landscaping works are moving forward as well. Topsoil spreading, lawn installation, and shrub planting are being carried out throughout the project corridor.
