We ask for your understanding of any inconveniences related to the night operation of the generator in the area of Janickiego Street. We would like to inform you that during the heating of heating pipes, an uninterrupted process of work is necessary. The technology requires the aforementioned continuity of work to ensure the highest quality of workmanship and safety of operation. Thanks to the use of pre-heating, it was possible to partially resign from compensation and reduce the occupancy of green areas.
We make every effort to ensure that the works run smoothly and according to schedule. If everything goes according to plan, the generator will work until tomorrow at the latest.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. We are convinced that the final effect in the form of a new tram line to Mistrzejowice will bring many benefits to our community.
Part of the new tram line to Mistrzejowice will run below ground level. On the route with a total length of over 1.2 km, passengers will find two underground stops – “Rondo Młyńskie” and “Rondo Polsadu”.
Going in the direction of Mistrzejowice, the tram will go underground just before the Młyńskie roundabout, it will cross it in a half-open trench, it will stop at the recessed “Rondo Młyńskie” stop, and before the Polsad roundabout it will enter a tunnel where the underground stop “Rondo Polsad” will be located. It will emerge to the surface before the Barei roundabout and continue towards Mistrzejowice on the surface.
Key figures:
The total length of the tunnel section will be 1230 m.
The largest difference in the level of the rail head in relation to the terrain will be approx. 12 m
The height in the tunnel, after deducting the space for the overhead contact line, will be 4.5 m.
The length of each underground platform will be 65 m.
The width of the underground platforms will be 4.5 m
The underground stops in the area of the Młyńskie roundabout and the Polsadu roundabout will be accessible by fixed and escalators, as well as elevators. In the underground spaces, platforms and places for getting on and off are planned, adapted for people with disabilities, including textured surface markings and tactile markings in the Braille language.
A visual information system in the form of suspended direction and information boards will be installed within all underground stops, enabling efficient movement of passengers in selected directions of travel.
In addition, the underground station at the Polsadu roundabout will be equipped with public toilets, including a separate toilet adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. A room for caregivers with children is also planned, equipped with a changing table and a feeding space.
On Thursday, May 23, the Construction Council took place with the participation of representatives of the Private Partner of Local Government entities and the social side. During the meeting, three key topics important for residents were discussed.
Parking restrictions on Janickiego Street
Since May 23, works related to the reconstruction of heating networks have been underway at Janickiego Street. Therefore, the possibility of parking along this street will be limited.
We ask residents to pay attention to the signs and fences that prevent parking.
The works will last for about two weeks.
Tram terminus Mistrzejowice
From June 24, the reconstruction of the Mistrzejowice tram terminus will begin, which involves its complete closure. The project involves changing the geometry of the loop.
The completion of the works is planned for the beginning of September.
Liquidation of bicycle paths
Currently, together with the Municipal Traffic Engineer, we are working on changing the layout of bicycle paths.
It is planned to transfer bicycle paths to roadways along the entire scope of the investment, where cyclists will move along with cars.

This is the tenth month of work on the construction of the tram line to Mistrzejowice. What is the progress so far and how will the next works be carried out? We tell the story.
On 11 and 25 April, a session of the Construction Council was held, attended by representatives of the Private Partner and Local Government Entities, including the Council of Districts III Prądnik Czerwony and XV Mistrzejowice, and interested residents.
Registration for the project “Professional City Life – Transport and Communication” has been launched, which allows participants to learn about the professions necessary to create large, urban projects. As a partner of the event, we have prepared workshops for the participants in our construction office at the Stanisława Bareja roundabout. More
At the beginning of April, works related to the construction of a new water supply network in the area of Krzesławicka Street began. More
In the middle of the month, the reconstruction of the heat pipeline along Meissnera Street began. In connection with the area of necessary works, we have provided temporary replacement car parks for residents of numbers 4 and 6, which are located at Pilotów Street. More
In addition, the first stage of sinking diaphragm walls in the area of the Młyńskie Roundabout has been completed, and the reconstruction of Sudole Dominikański has entered the final phase of implementation. The works related to the tunnel have crossed the critical point of the investment – the Gen. Iżycki flyover. This made it possible to start the sinking of diaphragm walls along Lublańska Street and to start reinforcement works for the “Polsadu Roundabout” station.
Along Dobrego Pasterza Street, archaeological works are being carried out, which are related to the unveiling of the remains of the former military barracks belonging to the former complex “Infanterie Barackenlager 100 p. p. – Barracks of the Grand Hetman of Lithuania Jan Karol Chodkiewicz”.
What in the near future?
Along Meissnera Street, on both sides, the reconstruction of the central heating network will be continued. In the area of the Polsadu roundabout, the works will concern the reinforcement of the floor slab, the W1 exit and the station body. The nearest works related to Sudoł Dominikański are focused on the northern and southern chambers and the construction of a sanitary sewer system along the stream. On Lublańska Street, work on diaphragm walls and preparations for reinforced concrete works will be continued. In the area of the “Mistrzejowice” tram terminus, the works will include sanitary and rainwater drainage, and along the entire construction site it will be a further reconstruction of the teletechnical and power networks.
In addition, we meet with participants of the project “Professional Life of the City – transport and communication”, who have the opportunity to take a closer look at our work.
The construction of the tunnel that will carry the tramway to Mistrzejowice requires constant work, even during night hours. What exactly is being done, how is the excavation being carried out, and when can residents expect the round-the-clock work to be completed?
A key component of the tunnel’s construction are slurry walls, reinforced concrete structures that encase the tunnel, minimize the impact of the excavation on buildings in the vicinity of the structure, and take the pressure of the soil and groundwater. They are formed by concreting an excavation made by a deep excavator named Stefan. The excavations extend more than 20 meters into the ground.
Work on the diaphragm walls is carried out around the clock, even at night. The uninterrupted concreting process is essential for optimal results. The method of work used leaves no possibility of stopping concreting, and interruptions in the process could lead to serious construction defects.
Construction of a tunnel on the section from the Polsad roundabout to the Barei roundabout – until when?
Currently, construction of a tunnel is underway from the Polsad traffic circle to the Barei traffic circle. Night work on this stretch will continue until May 29.
In June, the reconstruction of underground networks will proceed on Lublańska street, with work scheduled on weekdays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, as well as on Saturdays.
From June 24 onward, night work will resume, and all slurry wall construction on Lublańska Street is expected to be completed around August 20. The streetcar will emerge from the tunnel near the Barei traffic circle.
In early September, the Stefan deep-drawer will return to the area around the Polsad traffic circle and head south towards the Młyńskie traffic circle.
Another section of the parking lot on Meissner Street will be shut down on May 6 due to work on the reconstruction of a heat pipeline.
The parking lot exclusion area is expanded by the marked section.
Replacement parking
Replacement parking is located at 6 Pilots Street – Castorama (spaces on the side of Mlynska Street) and on Pilots Street opposite Pilot Tower on the closed section of the road.
In addition, we inform that there may be difficulties between Ugorek and Janickiego streets.
We would like to inform you that on May 2 our Information Center and hotline will be closed. We cordially invite you to visit us after the long May weekend.
The Information Center is located near the intersection of Dobrego Pasterza and Strzelców streets, in the immediate vicinity of our construction office and almost halfway along the route of the streetcar line under construction. At the post, residents can obtain detailed information about the progress of the investment, including construction technology, work schedule, progress and the current traffic organization.
We welcome you on Mondays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
